Who we are

Renegade Home Mortgage is an independent mortgage broker in West Linn, Oregon, NMLS# 1938264, operating under Edge Home Finance, NMLS# 891464. Michael Neef is the lead loan officer, NMLS# 227081. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Renegade Home Mortgage.

This policy covers renegadehomemtg.com. It does not cover the separate loan application system we link to, which is operated by Pre-Approve Me and governed by its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what that form asks for. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Whether you agree to receive marketing calls, texts, and emails
• On the Strategy Desk: your loan goal, timeline, target purchase price, funds available, credit score range, veteran status, intended property use, the area you are shopping in, and whether you are working with a real estate agent
• On the loan status page: your email address and the last four digits of your phone number, used only to verify that a loan file belongs to you
• On the realtor referral form: your client's name, email, and phone number, submitted by a real estate agent
• Anything you choose to type into a message or notes field

You do not have to give us any of this. You can call us at (503) 974-3571 instead.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we automatically collect technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and how you move through the site. We use cookies and similar technologies for this.

Information we receive from others

If a real estate agent refers you to us, we receive your contact information from them. If you begin a loan application, we receive information from our loan origination system and, with your authorization, from credit bureaus and other verification sources.

Analytics, heatmaps, and session recording

We want to be direct about this one, because it is the least obvious.

We use Zoho PageSense to understand how visitors use this site. In addition to ordinary analytics, PageSense produces heatmaps, records browsing sessions, and runs A/B tests of page layouts. A session recording captures how a visitor moves and clicks through a page so we can find confusing or broken parts of the site.

We configure these recordings so they do not capture what you type or select in our forms. Every form field, every option you choose on the Strategy Desk, and the entire loan status results area are marked as protected, which means their contents are excluded from recordings rather than merely hidden from view. We do this so a recording can never contain your name, contact details, financial details, credit range, veteran status, or loan information.

PageSense anonymizes visitor IP addresses. We do not use session recordings to identify individual people, and we do not sell them.

We also use Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure traffic and advertising performance, and the Meta pixel to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. These tools set cookies and may allow those companies to show you our ads on other sites. We do not send them your name, email, phone number, income, credit information, or any detail about a loan.

How we use your information

• To respond to you, answer questions, and provide the quotes, estimates, or documents you ask for
• To evaluate, process, and service a mortgage loan when you apply
• To operate, secure, and improve this website
• To send marketing communications, but only if you have agreed to receive them
• To meet our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations as a licensed mortgage broker

Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter into them are not sent to us or to anyone else.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

We share what is necessary with service providers who work on our behalf and are required to protect it:

• Zoho, for our customer relationship management system and for the website analytics described above
• Pre-Approve Me, our loan origination and application platform
• Google, for our lead spreadsheet, calendar scheduling, analytics, and advertising
• Meta, for advertising measurement
• Cloudflare, which provides the security check that protects our forms from automated abuse
• Wholesale lenders, when you apply for a loan and ask us to shop it, so they can price and underwrite your file

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, in response to lawful requests from public authorities, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.

Marketing communications and your consent

We send marketing calls, texts, and emails only to people who have agreed to receive them. Agreeing is never a condition of getting a quote, using a calculator, downloading the app, or applying for a loan.

You can opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us at michael@renegadehomemtg.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about a loan already in progress.

Your privacy rights

If you are an Oregon resident, the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. Residents of other states may have similar rights.

Note that information collected in connection with a mortgage application is largely governed by federal financial privacy law, and some of it we are legally required to retain regardless of a deletion request.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on.

Financial privacy

As a mortgage broker, our handling of nonpublic personal financial information is regulated by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. If you apply for a loan with us, you will receive our separate privacy notice describing what we collect and share in connection with that application, and any rights you have to limit that sharing. That notice governs the loan relationship. This policy governs your use of this website.

How we protect information

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Our forms are protected against automated abuse. Access to systems that hold personal information is limited to people who need it. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here or as long as the law requires.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as a Social Security number or account number through a website form, by email, or through the chat on this site.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
